The Coronavirus pandemic should not, and will not, stop us from remembering the Australians who have served and sacrificed for our nation. But, the way we mark Anzac Day this year was slightly different.
Box Hill RSL President, John Haward ensured that we stayed true to our values of mateship and camaraderie, he honoured our soldiers by laying a wreath at Box Hill Garden Cenotaph & observed a minute silence at 6am as the bugler sounded the Last Post.
It is these small gestures, we can ensure our Anzacs are not forgotten.
Please join us in this special moment. We may not be able to stand together as we usually would, but we can still stand united in spirit.
Lest we forget.
