Membership Information
As Box Hill is a "Dry Area" as defined by the Liquor Code, the Box Hill RSL must operate as a private club in order to serve alcohol. All persons entering the Box Hill RSL must either be a member of the RSL or signed in as a guest, by a member
There are several categories of membership
Service $40.00 per year
Available to members of the Armed forces,
either past or present
Affiliate $40.00 per year
Related to members of the Armed forces
Social $40.00 per year
Those wishing to participate in the activities of the RSL
Community $2.00 per year
Those wishing to partake of meals, drinks or the gaming room

Function Spaces
Bowling Green
Centrally located with plenty of parking the Box Hill RSL Bowls Section and Green is the perfect place to hold your next team building function, guaranteeing an enjoyable and memorable experience for guests. Why not try your hand at lawn bowls as part of your next family reunion or birthday celebrations? Expert coaching and in house catering leaves the planning and preparation to the professionals. Costs associated for the hire of the Lawn Bowls Green and equipment is charged by the Box Hill RSL Bowls Section, your function coordinator will pass on all contact details.
Roof Top Bar
The RSL has added to its range of function spaces a large open-air deck with stunning views stretching all the way to the Great Dividing Range. Ideal for summer days, relaxed and informal functions of up to 100 people, the roofless bar invites guests high above the busy streets, amidst the treetops of the Box Hill Gardens.

Restaurant
The Box Hill RSL Restaurant is the perfect place to hold dinners of up to 45 guests. Adjoining the Club’s Members Bar, the classic décor and stunning views of Box Hill Gardens welcome your guests into an urban oasis for your next function
The Upton Room
Hand crafted wood panelling and rich in chocolate tones, the Upton Room is light filled and welcoming. Large glass windows extend the length of the room opening up to a covered verandah and overlooking the Box Hill RSL Lawn Bowls Green. Depending on the size of your group, the area can be divided into two smaller spaces. Upton 1 is the larger of the two and can seat theatre style 100 with access to a full bar. Upton 2 seats up to 35 guests theatre style and is perfect for small scale training sessions or committee meetings.
Alternatively Upton 1 and 2 can be opened up into a large room catering for formal dinners of up to 140 guests. Pernament dance floor or a moveable dance floor can be arranged as well as entertainment. Your Function Coordinator is happy to liaise directly with entertainers to ensure requirements are met. Upton 1 and 2 are accessible directly from the RSL car park or lift from Reception.
